About our Team

Field Work Design & Craft is owned and operated by Casey and his wife Mariel. We are both from California, and live in Long Beach, where Casey was born and raised, influenced by the diverse and eclectic culture that this city offers.

After graduating from UCLA, Casey spent the early part of his career in product development and product marketing, before eventually stepping away as the Director of Product Marketing for Tupperware brands. A lifelong craftsman and innovator, the work felt out of touch with the end consumer and he wanted something where he could flex his design sense, product knowledge, and his ability to work with his hands while directly helping clients achieve their vision. Mariel graduated from UC Irvine, is a television producer by trade, an operational champion, and has a unique eye and sense of style.

We grew up surrounded by family owned businesses built on values and community. But in the window covering industry, have watched craftsmanship and customization erode, and low-quality products flood the market all while putting the bulk of the work on the buyer!
